General Note Interview with Peter West as part of the Federation's oral history project. Summary: Bob Phillips attended Cessnock High and in 1946 accepted a scholarship to New England University College. Completed a Dip. Ed. in 1950 and started teaching in 1951. Posted to Kurri Central, then Wauchope Central, Cessnock, in 1954 to Corowa, Subject Master at Junee in 1961, English History Master at Swansea in 1964. Conference delegate at Wauchope. Elected to Council. Spoke of salaries, class sizes, equal pay for women, industrial action and the extras campaign.
This interview took place on 25th Jarnuary 1994.
