General Note DVD summary: Set in Adelaide this true story, which still raises questions about guilt, is a court room drama telling the story of an Aboriginal man accused of raping and killing a young girl. The local Catholic priest is convinced of his innocence, the policeman wants a murderer and doesn't mind framing the accused, the small time lawyer (Carlyle) is up against old Adelaide family establishment Q.C. (Dance). Shows the influence of the media and newspaper proprietor, Rupert Murdoch, and the effect of public opinion on the Premier. This case still causes heated debate today.
