Summary Note Highlight: Yass Courier 1907 report of court proceedings Yass Police Court, parent charged with neglecting to send his son to school the requisite number of days. E. Dash headmaster, Yass District School, proved the boy had only attended school 67 days in the half year ending 30th June. Parent fined 20s with 6s costs in default seven days hard labor in Yass gaol.
Highlight: Yass Courier May 28 1907: Patriotic songs sung for Empire Day, at Yass school, the children sang Advance Australia Fair, Rule Britannia … accompanied by the band under the conductorship of Mr. Dash.
Highlight: Includes clippings of many photographs published in newspapers. Photograph 23.8.1922 of State Public Servants at Protestant Hall protest at government proposal to exclude them from Arbitration Court. Mr. Dash, President of the State Services Confederation of NSW is seen addressing gathering.
Highlight: Hand written letter, on NSW Department of Education letterhead from Peter Board 27.12.22, upon leaving office as Director of Education, to Mr. Dash, “ I wish to convey to you my appreciation of the way in which you have represented the teachers in all matters in which their interests have been [presented?] before the Department.”
Highlight: Includes lyrics for song penned for Mr Dash and typed on note paper, titled Ebby, my boy.
