This report is an audit of recommendations made by the Inquiry into Public Education in NSW which was originally published in October 2002. The report focuses on what has happened in relation to the 85 recommendations tabulated in the 2002 report.
The audit found that the Recommendation 5.3, that a ten year recruitment and training plan be instituted to increase the number of school counsellors by 700, so that an effective counsellor/student ratio of approximately 1:500 is attained, was not implemented. See pages 26-28.
