Text on poster: Promoting gender equity. Gaining Ground, promoting gender equity, Women’s conference 1994, Saturday May 14 9 am - 4.30 pm, Federation Auditorium 300 Sussex Street Sydney NSW 2000. Keynote speakers: Sue Walpole, Sex Discrimination Commissioner, will reflect on the tenth anniversary of the Act and outline future Strategies. Dr Jane Kenway, Senior Lecturer in the School of Curriculum and Administration, Deakin University, will comment on her research on current girls education strategies and discuss what we can learn from girls in order to work for gender equity. Workshops will deal with policy recommendations, information sharing and skills development.
Text on poster, continued: All women members are welcome and Federation will fund one woman delegate for each country association. Registration must be completed by May 3. Childcare must be booked with Narelle Wilson by May 6 to ensure we have an appropriate number of carers. Travel and accommodation must be requested by April 26.
