Summary Note
Why is Federation celebrating the abolition of the 2YT/3YT barrier? Ask Lynne! Lynne Bellis trained at Sydney Teachers College 1962-63 and was appointed to Dorrigo Central from the start of 1964. She has since taught at Lismore, Tweed River and Kirawee High Schools and currently teaches English, history and legal studies at Peakhurst High School. As a two year trained teacher, Lynne has been at the top of her salary scale for over 20 years. In 1993 she was paid at the Step 9 rate of $33,264. Because we achieved the abolition of the barrier, Lynne will proceed to Step 10 in 1995 and then in annual increments to Step 13 in 1998, retiring on not less than the current rate of $40,000. Authorised by Brenda Seymour, Acting General Secretary, NSW Teachers Federation, 300 Sussex Street, Sydney 2000. February 1994.
