Additional text: 1999 Women’s Conference May 22, Masonic Centre, Sydney, Banquet Hall, first floor, enter via 270 Castlereagh Street. Policy workshops: Curriculum matters and professional development, Youth issues, Impact of rural isolation on women in educational settings; Working conditions, Pay equity, Plus ‘hands on’ workshops will be available. Keynote speakers: Dr Victoria Foster, Education Faculty Wollongong University, Carol Croce, Australian Youth Policy and Action Coalition. Registration; Registration will commence at 8.30 am in the foyer and the conference will start at 9 am. Who can come?: All financial women members are welcome to attend. Country delegates: As in previous years Federation will fund one female delegate from each country association and five country delegates from TAFE. Association Secretaries have registration and travel accommodation forms. Country associations may choose to fund additional delegates but please ensure the correct form is used, that is, the form for Association Funded Delegates.: In order to keep costs of travel as low as possible country delegate must return their registration and travel and accommodation forms by no later than April 22. It is important to note that if registrations are received late and, because of this, it isn’t possible to obtain a cheap fare then the association will have to pay the difference between the cheap fare and the actual fare. City delegates: City delegates should contact their Association Secretary for details on how to register or ring Margaret Bryce or Michelle Rosicky on (02) 9217 2100 or tollfree 1300 654 369 and request a form. Registrations close on May 7 for city delegates only. Child-care: Child-care will be available from 8.30 am to 5 pm at Teachers Federation House in Mary Street. To ensure we arrange an appropriate number of carers, it is essential that you complete the child-care section of the registration form and forward it to Julie McCarthy by no later than May 10.
