“The Book of Remembrance on its stand in the Federation Library. The book contains the names of all teachers who served in either of the two World Wars.” – Education Vol. 37 No. 14, November 21 1956, page 3. The photograph is also published in this issue of Education.
Summary Note During the time Barry Manefield was President of the NSW Teachers Federation (1976-1981) the Book of Remembrance and book stand was transferred to the NSW Department of Education headquarters at 35-39 Bridge Street, Sydney. Along with other war memorials for teachers, it is currently located at the Department of Education’s headquarters at 105 Phillip Street Parramatta.
