ESL programs 1.
This CD provides: Programming for ESL students utilizing literature: "Where's Spot?", "The very hungry caterpillar", "Mrs Wishy Washy", "Brown bear. Brown bear. What do you see?", "From head to toe" and "Who sank the boat". The programming is tied into the ESL Scales. Most suitable for Kindergarten to year 2 students. "My name is Dawne Furze and I have recently retired from teaching ESL K-6 at Castle Hill Public School in Sydney, Australia. After many years of researching and sharing resources I have written units of work based on popular children's texts, favoured by ESL teachers worldwide, to create programs and a range of activities for teachers to use to support the students' acquisition of English. The format of each unit introduces the text being studied and illustrates the resources from various websites which are available to download in order to make colourful and practical hands-on activities based on the targeted language. The teacher, over time, can develop and accumulate a depth of easily accessible resources covering a range of basic topics necessary for ESL students. The format of each unit is a WORD Doc which ESL teachers, after saving the master, can edit, delete, copy and paste, add his/her own ideas (remember to save the master copy) and use any part of it as their personal program. My aim is to decrease the working load of teachers." -- Inside CD cover.
