"A special exhibition Country, culture, community, 21 November 2008 - 19 April 2009 was mounted at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in conjunction with the launch of this education kit." - Colophon. This kit helps students understand and appreciate the richness and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art through key works in the collection. In focusing on significant artists or groups of artists and their work, they provide an introduction to the many forms of Indigenous art practices and related issues and ideas. 16 x 4-page booklets focus on particular art works from the gallery, and feature K-6 activities for Drama, English, HSIE, Maths, Music, Science, Technology, Visual arts. Framing questions for students &-12 are provided. Includes bibliography and chronology.
