Theme “Women teacher unionists: time to be heard.” Additional text: Keynote speaker: Barbara Pocock is a South Australian academic with specialist knowledge concerning the organisation and change process unions need to consider for continued viability. This an important discussion for women teacher unionists to be involved in. If you are concerned about recruitment and, more importantly, activism , have your say about your union. Workshops. Workshops will focus on ways women can best utilise and participate with their union and its forums. An important time to share your hopes, what works and guarantees action. Registration. Registration will commence at 8.15 am in the foyer and the conference will start at 9 am sharp. Who can come? All financial women members of the NSW Teachers Federation are welcome to attend. Country delegates. As in previous years, Federation will fund one female delegate from each country association and five country delegates from TAFE. Association secretaries have registration, travel and accommodation forms. Country associations may choose to fund additional delegates. Please note that country participants must return their registration, travel and accommodation forms by no later than May 3, 2002. City delegates. City delegates should contact their Association Secretary for details on how to register or ring Michelle Rosicky or Tricia small on (02) 9217 2100 or toll free 1300 654 369 and register over the phone.
