Photograph – Teachers Federation Library staff
Collection code: Artworks. Photograph published Education, vol. 59 no. 3 1 March 1978, p. 15, along with article “Federation Library: take advantage of Library’s extended hours.” Filed with collection of historic Teachers Federation Library photos, ca 1967- The Cooper Library was officially opened on 24 February 1922. The name was changed to Teachers Federation Library from 1941, by Decision of Annual Conference 1940. Photograph shows Teachers Federation Library staff, Librarian Mary Schmidt, and Library Assistants Lorraine de Hesselle, Leone Peat and Patricia Passlow at the circulation desk. At the time, the library was located on the 2nd floor, 300 Sussex Street, Sydney.
