Castellorizo to Woolloomooloo /
About Plunkett Street Public School. "Castellorizo to Woolloomooloo is a new book by Zeny Giles who is Beatrix Murray’s great grandmother. The book tells the story of Zeny’s Mother and Uncle, Nina and Herb, who arrived in Woolloomooloo in 1924 from Greece. They had to adjust to a new country and a new language and even new names. They started at Plunkett Street School almost a hundred years before Beatrix did. Plunkett Street School made a big impression on the children and their family. Teachers from Plunkett Street School even saved one of Herbs drawings and returned it to him thirty years later. This is their story." -- Plunkett Street Public School Newsletter.
