Summary Note
"The Gamilaraay and Yuwaalaraay (Yuwaalaraay also includes the Yuwaalayaay dialect) languages come from an area of northern inland New South Wales. ... Songs have proved a great way of learning and teaching the languages. Many of the songs were composed at regular classes held for adults - the classes mainly involved people who teach Gamilaraay-Yuwaalaraay (GY) in the Walgett-Goodooga-Lightning Ridge area. Other songs were composed by others involved with the languages." - p. 2.
