Text on poster: A charter of the rights of teachers. Workers have rights, Teachers have rights. Teachers assert the following rights in the workplace: 1. The right to safety 9physical and psychological) in the workplace; 2. The right to freedom from discrimination and harassment; 3. The right to salary and working conditions protected by awards and agreements; 4. The right to confidentiality and privacy; 6. The right to make professional decisions within the terms and conditions of your employment. 7. The right to impartiality and fairness when you are the subject of a complaint, such as the right to know the details of the complaint, the presumption of innocence; and prior knowledge of the procedures to be followed; 8. The right to be consulted prior to any decisions being made about you and the right to appeal any such decisions; 9. The right to have access to documents concerning you; 10. The right to outside support such as Federation, police, employer counselling schemes, and the Anti-Discrimination Board, among others.
