Using case-based scenarios, issues covered will include workload, professional development, hours of attendance, leave and RFF. It is important the women feel empowered enough to make a stand when things are not as they should be and this workshop will provide members with information and a plan of action so that they can make a stand when they need to; KNOWING YOUR RIGHTS IN POST SCHOOL WORKSITES: This workshop will provide women with information about their rights and entitlements in post school worksites; GLOBAL WARMING – Federation policy for the next decade: Global warming is the critical issue of the 21st century. The warming of the earth will affect everything in our lives, including how we teach and how we learn. Politicians have been slow to respond ambitiously and positively and the union movement has not been on the front foot in tackling the issue. Federation needs to be at the forefront of the union movement a put global warming on its agenda as a central union matter. This workshop will assist in developing NSW Teachers Federation policy to take us into the next decade; BETTER SERVICES CAMPAIGN: This workshop will be delivered in two parts. The first session will be an information seminar on the Better Services Campaign, followed by a session on the development of a women’s focus for the campaign; HUMAN RIGHTS: This workshop will explore human rights issues with a focus on women.
