General Note
"Federation staff member, Professional Support Advisor Julieann Marino, was so inspired by the Federation’s 2018 centenary celebrations, that she created cushions with a centenary theme. Julieann re-fashioned centenary tea towels that feature the Federation’s marching banner, which was commissioned as part of the centenary celebration. Four cushions now reside in a relaxing corner of the library and offer a comfy spot for members to sit and read. The banner design features two members of great significance in the Federation’s history: Ebenezer Dash, the 2nd President of the NSW Public School Teachers Federation, and Margaret Miller, a suffragette who was elected twice as President of the Infants’ Mistresses’ Association. Dressed as they would have been a century ago, the cushions are a daily reminder of the proud and long history of the union." -- NSWTF Facebook account 18.12.18.
