Summary Note "A multimodal exhibition unveiling true stores of Repression, Exploitation, Resistance and Redemption from women and men exiled as convicts to the Australian colonies. Thousands of revolutionaries, labour protestors, trade unionists, Irish freedom fighters, rebellious slaves, mutinous soldiers and working class radicals were also transported as political prisoners. Out of sight, but were they out of mind?" -- Unshackled exhibition.
