Contents: DVD 1: Episode 1: Alinta: the flame (1824)/ directed by James Ricketson -- Episode 2. Maydina: the shadow (1895)/ directed by David Stevens. DVD 2: Episode 3: Nerida Anderson (1939)/ directed by Stephen Wallace -- Episode 4. Lo-arna (1980s) / directed by Geoffrey Nottage. Summary: Each of the four episodes deals with a different historical period, and details that period through events which occurred to four individual Aboriginal women, their immediate families and tribes. A study guide is available from the Ronin Films website a the URL below. Rated PG - parental guidance is recommended for persons under 15. We are advised that before screening, the following statement should be made: We wish to advise that this program may contain images of deceased persons. We especially advise that this program may be upsetting to members of the Indigenous community who may recognise some of the deceased. Originally published 1981 on video (VHS).
