NSW - public funding schools and the School Resourcing Standard /
This briefing paper was commissioned by the NSW Teachers Federation. "This report examines the extent and distribution of any public overfunding and underfunding of public (government) and private (nongovernment) schools in the state of NSW. Analysis has been conducted for 2020, which is the most recent school year with available financial and non-financial data. The report considers the distribution of public funds (from Commonwealth and state governments) to individual private schools from the independent sector. Analysis of the available data from more than 340 schools yielded the following key findings: Key finding 1: The federal and NSW governments delivered $120 million in overfunding to 130 independent schools in NSW in 2020 alone." - p. 5.
